LOT Community hosted a two-day event at its headquarters with the DKMS Foundation. We recognise that success relies on the involvement and cooperation of many people, and we are committed to helping the DKMS Foundation, a global nonprofit organisation dedicated to combating blood cancer. Michał Fijoł, CEO of LOT Polish Airlines, inaugurated the internal event called "It's in Your Genes." He stated that supporting such a cause aligns with one of LOT’s key values as a socially responsible company. During the event, many employees registered as potential donors and met colleagues who had previously signed up, sharing their reasons for doing so. LOT Polish Airlines hosted the "Walk a LOT" event for its Danish and Norwegian travel agents. Walk a LOT, is a promotional event co-sponsored by Polish Tourism Organisation and Billund Airport. It aims to foster relationship building, networking, and knowledge exchange about LOT's products, services, and network, while also promoting learning about Poland, the founding country of LOT Polish Airlines. LOT Polish Airlines attended the Seamless Middle East event in Dubai, a global conference covering the latest trends, market disruptors, and technologies shaping the digital commerce world. Justyna Bednarska, LOT Polish Airlines’ Deputy Marketing Director, participated in a panel discussion on current trends in marketing and data fusion. She emphasised the importance of understanding customer needs and expectations to provide a seamless experience. She stated, "it is extremely important to understand customer needs and expectations to provide them a seamless experience. It’s the new norm in marketing to provide actions based on the data-driven approach." LOT Polish Airlines has received a new Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft. Captain Tomasz Telkowski operated the ferry flight of the new B737 Max 8 from Seattle to Warsaw, with a refueling stop in Keflavik. The Boeing 737 Max 8 is a state-of-the-art aircraft known for its advanced technology, fuel efficiency, and enhanced passenger comfort. LOT Community attended the 2nd Women Connect Congress. The event featured panel discussions with female speakers sharing insights into their careers, opportunities for women in aviation, and the issue of human trafficking. Among them, LOT Polish Airlines' Captain Gabriela Drózd spoke on ‘The Power of Women – the Role of Women in Aviation.’ Gabriela, who obtained her pilot's license at 17, began her journey with LOT in 2017 and is now a Captain on the Embraer fleet. Safety is a top priority for LOT Polish Airlines. Following IATA and ICAO recommendations, LOT has implemented procedures and training to combat human trafficking. In cooperation with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in Poland, the airline has trained over 500 cabin crew members to detect and respond to suspected human trafficking during flights. #LOTPolishAirlines #WomenConnectCongress #HumanTrafficking
